A Lamezia Terme iniziativa per supportare la parità salariale di genere

  – LAMEZIA TERME (CZ) –  12 LUGLIO 2023 –  Il fenomeno è comunemente conosciuto come “gender pay gap” espressione che indica la discriminazione salariale di genere.  Con la crisi provocata dal Covid-19 si è intensificato e, nonostante gli avvertimenti della Commissione Europea all’Italia, la Politica continua a trascurare il problema.

 A farsene carico da tempo è la UIltucs, sindacato di categoria della UIL che rappresenta i lavoratori del terziario, turismo, commercio e servizi che ha realizzato a Lamezia Terme un incontro tra la segretaria nazionale Samatha Merlo e le segreterie regionali e territoriali calabresi, per spingere sulle proposte pensate per risolvere il problema. 

 <<L’Italia è indietro rispetto alle altre nazioni europee e la nostra regione non fa eccezione- spiega la segretaria regionale UilTucs Calabria Caterina Fulciniti-  da tempo il nostro sindacato vuol farsi carico del problema, tracciando le strategie per farlo emergere ed eliminarlo.

 Abbiamo accolto a Lamezia Terme la nostra segretaria nazionale Samantha Merlo per aprire un confronto sulle politiche di genere che, come per altre criticità, rimangono ancorate a fattori culturali da destrutturare.

Le disparità passano non solo dalle opportunità lavorative e dagli inquadramenti contrattuali, ma anche dalle retribuzioni che spesso sono differenti anche a parità di ruoli apicali.

 Un problema serio che il nostro sindacato più di altri ha il dovere di risolvere, considerando che più della metà dei nostri lavoratori sono donne>>.

 Quanto il sindacato sia impegnato nell’obiettivo è esplicitato nella richiesta decisa di introdurre un Garante della Parità per vigilare su trasparenza salariale, discriminazioni e violenze di genere. 

 <<Partiamo dal presupposto -spiega la segretaria nazionale UIltucs Samantha Merlo- che il 68% della popolazione dei nostri lavoratori è donna.

 I nostri sono settori ad occupazione prevalentemente femminile e spesso le donne all’interno dei settori del turismo, commercio e servizio sono legate al tema del “lavoro povero” perché spesso i loro impieghi sono part-time, con retribuzioni molto ridotte.

 Questo ci porta a impegnarci per fare in modo che il divario salariale di genere venga colmato.

  Ci sono Politiche da attivare e riguardano: la Conciliazione dei tempi di vita e lavoro (che dal 2019 sono diventate per l’Unione Europea tempi di “vita, lavoro e di cura”) e la Trasparenza salariale su cui si è cercato di spingere con strumenti legislativi e contrattuali.

 Mi viene in mente il rapporto di genere” a cui sono soggette le imprese con più di 50 dipendenti che devono comunicare a livello biennale quella che è la fotografia aziendale, poiché la differenza salariale è data anche dal fatto che le donne difficilmente riescono ad arrivare a ruoli apicali. e abbiamo contezza del fatto che nel nostro Paese, se questo avviene, le donne sono pagate comunque meno degli uomini, anche a parità di ruoli. 

 In un panorama già fortemente penalizzante per le donne, poi, registriamo i dati ancor più gravi relativi alla violenza di genere, anche sui luoghi di lavoro.

Per Uiltucs quello che è stato fatto finora non basta anche in virtù di una nuova direttiva assorbita nel nostro regolamento a marzo 2023 per cui non è sufficiente conoscere la quantità di donne e uomini impiegati in un’azienda , ma quale retribuzione di fatto venga loro riconosciuta.

 Pensiamo che il divario retributivo anche nei ruoli apicali passi dalla contrattazione individuali perché se il contratto collettivo nazionale stabilisce una paga che è quella nazionale e quindi uguale per tutti i generi, a livello apicale esista un sistema di contrattazione individuale che incide fortemente sul divario salariale.

Siamo sicuri che a livello di “quadri” e di primi livelli ci siano uomini che percepiscono dei “superminimi” che alzano la retribuzione dell’uomo rispetto alla donna.

Per questo stiamo chiedendo che nei contratti in rinnovo, che sono la maggior parte di quelli che riguardano i nostri settori, possa essere evidenziata nei rapporti di lavoro biennali anche la retribuzione di fatto.

Abbiamo per questo rilanciato a livello nazionale l’introduzione di una figura di rappresentanza del “Garante della Parità” che ha una ha rappresentanza votata da lavoratori e lavoratrici all’interno di aziende con più di 50 dipendenti, che possa vigilare su delle politiche di attuazione da parte delle imprese su trasparenza salariale e sui temi legati alla violenza a tutto tondo>>.
